Crossmint, a provider of wallet and stablecoin payments infrastructure, has partnered with MoneyGram, a financial company, to launch a new stablecoin-based cross-border payment service. The technology allows MoneyGram customers to send, store, and spend U.S. dollar–denominated funds using stablecoins.
MoneyGram is introducing the service first in Colombia. Customers in the U.S. can now send funds abroad that are converted into USDC and delivered instantly to recipients in Colombia through Crossmint-powered wallets.
Crossmint was selected for its ability to provide a full-service platform that simplifies blockchain integration through web2-style APIs and dashboards. Its infrastructure supports multiple blockchains and stablecoins while meeting security and compliance requirements, including AML and KYC standards.
