The cryptocurrency market have for long been waiting for a trusted means to buy goods on Amazon. Courtesy of Moon, it is now a reality.

Myriads of some small e-commerce websites now allow buying of goods using cryptocurrency, but big platforms are yet to allow such. The idea put forward by Moon, makes users of Opera, Brave and Google Chrome pay for goods through Lightning Network, Bitcoin, Litecoin or Ether, using Moon desktop extension browser.

Once Moon is installed on your desktop browser, the extension will recognize when you are on Amazon checkout page. Then, it inserts Moon’s personal widget for users to pay the equivalence of the fund in cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Litecoin and Ethereum.

Users can pay directly with Bitcoin, but the payment may be a bit slow due to confirmation. In this wise, the Lightning Network, which is faster can be used.

On top of that, the Moon desktop wallet allows Coinbase accounts to pay for goods on Amazon. For those holding Ethereum, Litecoin and importantly Bitcoin on their Coinbase wallet, they can pay for goods in a twinkle of an eye via moon.

While Moon has no partnership with Amazon yet, the platform says it uses a prepaid value on Amazon.

Once users pay with cryptocurrencies, Moon credits their Amazon account and pays with Amazon balance. Note that the platform does not charge users additional fees for the service.

Beyond Canada and the U.S, Moon will soon expand to other countries. Equally, Moon is extending to other e-commerce websites.

According to the team behind the technology, since the future of money is cryptocurrency, Moon is working to increase the adoption of digital asset and make crypto equals currency.

For now, big e-commerce firms like Alibaba, Amazon among others are scared of regulators and have not yet adopted cryptocurrencies.

However, crypto firms are devising ways to circumvent the barricades and make crypto enthusiasts pay for goods using digital currencies.

Meanwhile, some businesses across the globe are damning the consequences, and beginning to adopt digital currencies purposely to increase the adoption of cryptocurrencies.
