In a recently made announcement, Affirm Holdings, a company based in San Francisco, is planning a new crypto service for customers to purchase and sell crypto assets directly from savings accounts in-app. The company reportedly allows clients to widen their financial options with crypto purchases via the Affirm application.
Affirm Holdings To Introduce Savings Account for Crypto Offerings
It has been revealed that the company will be offering a new debit card feature and in accordance with the official data revealed by the firm, it is an effort to become an all-in-one service for the financial requirements of the client.
The CEO of Affirm, Max Levchin, released a statement that said the company is not taking any risks with this latest development and said:
"We are doing it in a way that feels natural to us. We will make it really simple, it’s safe, we won’t let you do crazy things.”
These new offerings come as a result of a partnership with New York Digital Investment Group LLC. Levchin added to his statement laying an emphasis on the development of scalable technology and said:
“Our superpowers are in developing sophisticated, scalable technology, risk management and highly efficient access to capital. Expect us to look for more opportunities to buy and build, as we look to leverage our core strengths.”
Levchin Sets Eyes on Crypto Offerings
It should be noted that as Bitcoin neared the mark of $50k, Levchin’s take shifted, along with a lot of other investors. Major players in the market, such as PayPay, have been continuing their expansion of crypto offerings involving withdrawals of assets.
Along with this, financial giants have investments in the crypto industry other ways, like PayPal and Visa, both have investments in the $300 million fund of Blockchain Capital. Affirm has marked the latest addition to the league of financial service providers to mesh with the crypto space.
