Market sees red, $5 billion lost

Almost every major crypto has seen notable losses in the last 24 hours. The Bitcoin price has again fallen back towards the $8000 range, and most altcoins have followed suit. 

Total market cap / BTC dominance:

The total crypto market cap is down to $270 billion, after losing $5 billion over the last few hours. BTC dominance is now 56.0%.

After hitting a 24h high of around $8750, the BTC price plummeted through a new support level that was forming at $8650, to find a new one around $8340. The top crypto is now trading at around $8450, down 3 percent for the 24h period.

Top 10

Nearly every top 10 crypto has fallen in price in the last 24 hours, coinciding with BTC's crash of around 4 percent in just a few hours. The biggest losses have been seen by EOS, which is at -24% for the 24h period. Bitcoin Cash SV (BSV) has bucked the trend as usual, gaining in price by over 19 percent.

Cosmos has seen double-digit gains again in the last 24 hours, after a positive week. The crypto is up over 18 percent for the 24h period, and over 45 percent in the last 5 days.
