Finder contacted more than 42K people in 27 countries to find out which countries have the highest rates of ownership of cryptocurrencies and vice versa which the lowest.

At the outset, it was a surprise finding that the TOP5 countries with the most populations that own cryptocurrencies are all in Asia.

As you can see in the table above, Vietnam took first place with 41%, followed by Indonesia with 30% and India with the same percentage of 30%. The fourth place was occupied by Malaysia with 29% and the fifth with 28% by the Philippines.

However, an interesting finding is also Belgium, where on average up to 26% of the population owns cryptocurrency. On the contrary, according to this survey, it does not look very favorable in the US and the UK, where the owners of cryptocurrencies are below 10%.

As for the global average, the percentage of people who own a cryptocurrency is 19%.

Among other things, the survey focused on, for example, whether crypto are more preferred by men or women. In this case, the survey found that up to 22% were men and only 15% were women who own a crypto. The most active age group looking for cryptocurrencies is in the range of 25-34 years.
