Bitmine has expanded its Ethereum holdings as Chairman Tom Lee predicts an unprecedented cryptocurrency bull market. The company purchased another 12,532 $ETH last week, increasing its reserves to 6.03 million tokens.

Lee believes institutional adoption, artificial intelligence, and changing investor preferences could fuel the next major market rally. However, Ethereum continues facing selling pressure despite growing corporate interest.

Bitmine Expands Ethereum Treasury and Staking Operations

Bitmine now controls approximately 4.9% of Ethereum’s circulating supply, bringing the company closer to its 5% accumulation target. Additionally, the company reported $16.2 billion in combined assets, including cryptocurrency holdings, cash, and other investments.

Significantly, Bitmine has staked approximately 5.07 million $ETH, representing 84% of its Ethereum reserves. Its staking operations could generate $336 million annually, creating an additional revenue stream beyond potential price appreciation.

Tom Lee Identifies Major Crypto Growth Drivers

Lee expects tokenization, corporate accumulation, and generational wealth transfers to reshape cryptocurrency demand. Moreover, he believes younger investors will increasingly favor digital assets as inherited wealth changes hands. Consequently, corporate treasury purchases could tighten available Ethereum supply during periods of stronger demand.

However, Ethereum currently trades near $2,521, reflecting a 6.52% weekly decline. This weakness highlights the contrast between institutional accumulation and prevailing market sentiment.
