Bitmine Adds 15K ETH, Takes Treasury Past 6M Near 5% Supply Goal

Bitmine Immersion Technologies bought 15,112 $ETH, pushing its Ethereum holdings above 6 million tokens. The purchase brings the company closer to its goal of holding 5% of Ethereum’s supply. Its shares rose 2.07% to $26.82 on October 5, adding to investor focus on its growing crypto treasury.

The Tom Lee-chaired company now holds 6,016,414 $ETH, valued at about $16.4 billion based on its stated valuation. Bitmine has also staked 5.07 million $ETH, while its total crypto, cash and investment holdings reached $17.4 billion.

Bitmine Reaches 4.9% of Ethereum Supply

Bitmine valued its Ethereum holdings at about $2,726 per token using Coinbase pricing from October 4. Its 6.02 million $ETH represented about 4.9% of Ethereum’s 122.1 million circulating supply.

That puts the company close to its 5% target. Bitmine had also staked about 5.07 million $ETH, meaning most of its holdings were being used to generate additional rewards rather than remaining unstaked.

Its broader holdings totaled about $17.4 billion across crypto, cash, securities and other investments. The figure included $643 million in cash and securities, 214 Bitcoin, and investments in Beast Industries and Eightco Holdings.

Weekly Buying Continues

Bitmine began building its Ethereum treasury on June 30, 2025, and has continued buying $ETH each week, Chairman Tom Lee said. The latest purchase added another 15,112 $ETH to the company’s holdings.

At about 4.9% of Ethereum’s supply, Bitmine is roughly 99% of the way toward its 5% target. Reaching that level would require another roughly 120,000 $ETH based on the current supply figure.
