Bitmine, the largest corporate Ethereum holder, has recently acquired 7,430 $ETH, augmenting its already substantial cryptocurrency reserve. This addition, valued at about $14 million, accompanies the company’s broader strategy of increasing share repurchases, thereby enhancing its market position.
Approaching Milestone?
Bitmine’s latest acquisition has bolstered its holdings to approximately 5.78 million $ETH, equating to nearly 4.8% of Ethereum’s existing supply. The company’s long-term goal is to secure 5% of $ETH’s available market, reinforcing its commitment to the crypto space.
Publicly traded under BMNR, Bitmine witnessed a nearly 6% surge in its stock price, reaching $16.61. With its Ethereum assets valued at around $11 billion, Bitmine maintains its robust presence in digital assets, second only to Michael Saylor-led Strategy in total cryptocurrency holdings.
