Blockchain-powered Helium Mobile launches a $5 unlimited decentralized data plan, one of the first of its kind in Miami. According to the company, the move is seen as a strategic step towards realizing Helium's vision of a future where connectivity is accessible to all. Nova Labs, the creators of Helium Network and Helium Mobile, boast nearly a million hotspots deployed worldwide, with over 8,000 5G hotspots in over 1,500 cities in the US alone.

Helium Mobile's approach to network coverage is unique as its coverage model combines T-Mobile's nationwide 5G network with Helium Mobile's open source decentralized mobile network. This combination allows Helium Mobile to offer an astonishingly low price of $5 per month for unlimited calls, texts and data to all subscribers in Miami-Dade County.

Key to this pricing is the concept of "Dynamic Coverage". To drive network growth, Helium Mobile subscribers can share their location data to help the Helium Network community strategically expand human-generated coverage. In addition, they can be rewarded with tokens, further incentivizing participation.
