A group of Polkadot Ambassadors decided to launch the first Polkadot Hub to raise awareness of the ecosystem benefits. Bali was selected because it is a well-known destination for digital nomads and provided Polkadot with a fantastic opportunity to enter the area and begin developing the network.

With the weekly hackathons generating a dynamic NFT system to assess the contribution and reward individuals, The Polkadot Sanctuary in Bali is a brand-new event venue and co-working centre to boost the Polkadot ecosystem's footprint in the Asia/Pacific area.

What's in it?

They want to host networking events, hackathons, and weekly gatherings to achieve this. Local developers are eager to learn more about Web3, but there need to be more high-quality meetings and co-working events nearby. As a result, the organization wants to provide local developers with a chance to learn how to build on Substrate and novices and non-developers an opportunity to begin their adventure in the Polkadot ecosystem/Web3.

David Pethes, the ambassador for Polkadot, called himself Six and wanted to make something more exclusive than just a co-working place.

Hubs are envisioned to unite neighbourhood communities, offering knowledge and a location for wealthy people to move around, establish their reputations, and provide stability for Polkadot enthusiasts. The objective is to catch the best locals and digital nomads passing through, and Bali is a fantastic chance for a high-quality event series for individuals who have missed events.
