Cornucopias, a play-to-earn (P2E) game focused on Cardano, announced in a recent tweet the launch of the very first bridge between BSC and Cardano. The bridge was developed in collaboration with ChainPort, a crypto bridge that provides security at the custody level. Users cannot freely transfer their COPI tokens from BSC to Cardano. They must have at least 5,000 COPI tokens to be able to make a transfer.
According to the announcement, Input Output, a research, and development company that focuses on Cardano, also contributed to developing the bridge solution. Like bridges in the physical world, blockchain bridges allow users to connect different cryptocurrency ecosystems, facilitating communication between them.
Last June, Cardano launched its first Nervos blockchain cross-bridge to bring interoperability between the two platforms. In September, Input Output created a bridge solution between Cardano and Ethereum in partnership with Bondly. In August, the Sifchain-based bridge connecting Cardano and Cosmos was launched, which opened new opportunities for participants in these ecosystems. Earlier this year, it became possible to bridge USDC from the Ethereum blockchain to the Cardano network.
