Chainlink's oracle network has now delivered 20.33 billion verified messages across smart contract-enabled blockchains, according to the latest figures from @Chainlink. The network has also enabled $36.42 trillion in transaction value, a measure of the economic activity that relies on its oracles. The milestone is a further sign of how widely $LINK-powered infrastructure is used across decentralised finance (DeFi).
What the Numbers Measure
Verified messages are cryptographically verified data deliveries that let smart contracts execute using information from outside their own blockchain, such as asset prices. The count is a cumulative usage figure, so it rises over time as more protocols integrate the network.
The transaction value figure should be read with care. The $36.42 trillion is not Chainlink revenue, capitalization, or assets under management. It reflects the total value of transactions that relied on the oracle network, rather than funds held by it.
