TON Just Opened Its Doors to Pump Fun Traders

@Pumpfun has added support for the TON network to its mobile app, allowing users to buy TON chain tokens directly with their in-app $USDC balance. The integration gives traders on @ton_blockchain a simpler route into memecoins linked to the Telegram ecosystem.

According to TechFlow, the update was announced on October 27 via the official Pump.fun account. Users can buy tokens on the TON chain without first moving funds across networks themselves.

How the TON integration works

The core change is that trades no longer require manual bridging or switching wallets. Pump.fun's earlier network additions follow the same model, with the app routing the cross-chain trade in the background from a single $USDC balance. Phemex reports that the TON addition follows earlier integrations with Monad and X Layer.

For TON trades, this also means users do not need to hold $GRAM to cover transaction fees, as the cross-chain route is handled automatically. That should lower the barrier for retail traders who want exposure to tokens native to Telegram's blockchain ecosystem but have no existing TON wallet balance.

Pump.fun has described the app as the fastest cross-chain social application with the lowest fees. However, ChainCatcher notes that no comparative data was provided to back up the claim, so it should be treated as a marketing statement rather than a verified benchmark.

Pump.fun's multichain push

Pump.fun built its business on Solana and became a popular platform for launching and trading memecoins. Recent updates show a clear shift toward a multichain model. KuCoin News reported that Monad support, revealed on October 24, also lets users buy tokens with $USDC without bridging assets or switching wallets. X Layer support followed on October 26, according to TechFlow.

With TON now added, the app covers three new networks in a matter of days. For traders, the practical benefit is convenience: one balance, one interface, and less friction when moving between ecosystems. The trade-off, as with any memecoin market, is that easier access does not reduce the price volatility or the risks associated with newly launched tokens.
