Banxchange is extending the $XRP Ledger beyond its established payments and tokenization use cases by building a decentralized publishing network for journalists and content creators.

In a post on X, the platform said its BXE token supports instant payments to contributors worldwide. The project is targeting the global media and entertainment sector, which it values at roughly $2.5 trillion, while placing creator compensation directly on blockchain rails.

BXE Connects Publishing With Onchain Rewards

BXE is issued natively on the $XRP Ledger and serves as the reward asset for Banx Media. Writers create an account, connect an XRPL-compatible wallet, and then submit articles for editorial review.

Once an article is approved, the platform transfers BXE directly to the author’s wallet. Banxchange says the process removes custodial payment accounts and allows rewards to settle without traditional banking intermediaries.

The token has a fixed supply of 500 million. Its stated function is limited to content rewards, with no staking, governance, or yield mechanism included in the current design.

Notably, transactions settle within several seconds and can be checked through an $XRP Ledger explorer. This gives writers a public record of each payment while allowing them to retain control of the tokens after receipt.

Platform Targets a Different Media Payment Model

Traditional publishing platforms often rely on advertising revenue, subscriptions, or delayed contributor payments. Banxchange is using blockchain settlement to create a separate structure where approved content generates a direct digital reward.

Notably, the platform’s writer program permits contributors to publish articles in areas such as cryptocurrency, finance, and blockchain. Reward amounts vary according to quality, readership, and participation levels.

Moreover, the system includes progressive author categories. Writers move from beginner to intermediate and experienced levels based on the number of published articles, with higher levels receiving larger reward multipliers.

Banxchange has also integrated with Xaman Wallet and partnered with GetBlock for XRPL node infrastructure. These links support wallet access, network reliability, and the distribution of BXE payments as publishing activity grows.

$XRP Price Moves Separately From Network Expansion

Meanwhile, $XRP recently slipped below $1.20 after meeting resistance near $1.28. The token remained below its 50-day, 100-day, and 200-day moving averages, reflecting pressure across the wider cryptocurrency market.

That price movement occurred while Ripple and independent XRPL projects expanded real-world applications. Ripple recently invested in Flutterwave to support $RLUSD payments across Africa, while Banxchange is applying the ledger to journalism and creator compensation.

Even so, the two developments involve different assets and business models. $RLUSD supports stablecoin settlement, while BXE handles rewards inside the Banxchange publishing ecosystem.

Banxchange’s progress, therefore, represents an additional XRPL use case rather than a direct signal for $XRP’s short-term market price. Its growth will depend on writer participation, article activity, and the number of payments processed through the platform.
