PayPal Backs Stable to Expand PYUSD Use

Stable, a Layer 1 blockchain built for stablecoin payments, announced that PayPal USD ($PYUSD) can now be used on the Stablechain for commerce and financial transactions. PayPal Ventures also invested in Stable’s latest funding round.

The integration leverages LayerZero’s cross-chain technology, allowing $PYUSD to move between blockchains while benefiting from Stable’s fast processing and low fees. This setup is aimed at making stablecoin payments faster and more cost-effective.

Stable and PayPal will also explore future products to expand the use of $PYUSD, including cross-chain compatibility and onramp/offramp solutions.

The announcement comes shortly after Stable raised $28 million in seed funding, with support from Bitfinex and Hack VC.
