MetaMask, a self-custodial web3 wallet developed by Consensys, has announced a new integration with Sei, a Layer-1 blockchain. This move brings native support for the Sei network into MetaMask, allowing users to access Sei-based decentralized applications and digital assets directly from their wallet.

With this update, users can now swap, bridge, and buy Sei tokens inside MetaMask. A dedicated section for Sei has been added to MetaMask Portfolio, showing available tokens, games, NFTs, and other services built on the Sei blockchain.

Sei has seen a rise in usage since launching support for the Ethereum Virtual Machine. It currently processes over 4 million transactions per day and has a TVL of over $600 million. Monthly active users have reached 11 million, reflecting growing interest in its infrastructure.

MetaMask now supports 11 different networks, and this update continues its plan to provide a unified interface for managing crypto assets across chains. The move supports both platforms’ efforts to simplify blockchain use and increase access to decentralized services.
