Microsoft has taken another step forward in technology innovation by adding the Ethereum and Ripple protocols to its Azure Blockchain platform. The addition expands the platform’s functionality and provides enterprises with advanced tools for developing blockchain applications and testing foreign monetary systems.
In November, Microsoft released its blockchain initiative during the Ethereum DevCon event. It initially focused on Ethereum, but later included Ripple to expand its research capabilities. Blockchain Azure as a service platform allows users to quickly build and test prototypes without significant financial risk.
The development environment is designed to support innovation with features such as one-click deployment, which enables faster experimentation and makes it easier to implement new ideas. Enterprises find the platform valuable for testing blockchain applications in a cost-effective manner.
