Web3 Oscar Awards

The Web3 Oscar Awards celebrated individual achievements in blockchain’s social impact field, with awards spanning three categories.

The Collaboration Bridge Award went to Harn, CEO of Trigger Asset Management, and Mariana de la Roche Wills of INATBA and de la Roche W. Consulting.

The Public Welfare Contribution Award was given to BreeAnne Yek of The Verdant Room and Milica Dimitrijevic of Positiveblockchain.io for their pioneering work in blockchain applications for social welfare.

The Sustainable Innovation Summit

The Web3 Oscar was part of BGA’s November agenda, together with the Sustainable Innovation Summit, which featured a $100,000 prize pool.

Both events focused on harnessing blockchain for social good.

Held from September 9 to November 11, the Sustainable Innovation Summit brought together participants from around the world to develop blockchain-based solutions to issues like poverty, lack of water access, and gender inequality.

The event concluded with a demo at the Grand Hyatt Erawan in Bangkok, where the finalists showcased their projects to blockchain pioneers and industry experts.

In addition, 10 shortlisted teams addressed sustainability challenges through the lens of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

EthicHub took the top prize, the Grand Social Impact Award, while Plastic Odyssey won the Outstanding Social Innovation Award, and ResearchHub received the Emerging Impact Award.

Additional “Rising Star Awards” were presented to promising projects such as Wavy Health, LAKE (LAK3), and KulaDAO.
