As a result of Apple’s limitations on IDFA (Identifier for Advertisers), a mechanism providing advertisers data in aggregate without individually identifiable user traits, 3thix is leveraging distributed blockchain technologies to incentivize high-value marketing relations with gaming playerbases.
The IDFA acts as a digital name tag that helps advertisers recognize users and serve more relevant ads and allows apps to remember user preferences without knowing a user’s real name. After iOS14, Apple gave user’s a choice to opt out of IDFA, creating a strain on advertisers’ ability to target users efficiently and in turn became the central entity holding user data.
Decentralizing IDFA allows users more control over their data and location, better security with personal identity information distributed and access to more intuitive ads. Brands can also benefit from decentralized IDFA by becoming and remaining compliant in privacy laws.
