San Francisco – The Graph Network has rolled out a significant upgrade to its support for the Solana ecosystem, accelerating development and deployment of decentralized applications (dapps). Solana’s developer community now benefits from advanced data tools, including pre-built solutions from notable teams like Messari and Top Ledger.

The new tooling, designed for Substreams-powered subgraphs (SpS), delivers a streamlined development experience with enhanced codegen capabilities for both local and remote use. Built by StreamingFast, a core engineering team within The Graph, these tools enable developers to quickly scaffold and sync Substreams projects, introducing unprecedented flexibility for Solana development.
No Substreams? No Problem
The updates also simplify access to Solana data for developers unfamiliar with Substreams. Thanks to the newly added tools, Solana data can be accessed without touching Substreams or Rust, allowing developers to choose the most appropriate tools for their skill set and project needs.
Noteworthy enhancements include Solana Substreams modules from Top Ledger and StreamingFast, as well as several ready-to-use Substreams-powered subgraphs, including UNCX and Orca Whirlpool.
“The meteoric rise of developer and user activity on Solana has created a huge demand for open, decentralized data that is true to the values of Web3. The Graph’s latest tooling upgrade and enhanced support will ensure the Solana community can get even more value out of Web3’s decentralized data layer."
Nick Hansen, Head of Growth, The Graph Foundation
Empowering Solana’s Rapid Growth
Solana’s fast transaction speeds and low fees have made it a prime choice for decentralized applications (dapps) and DeFi projects. With the ecosystem booming, the need for efficient data indexing and querying is at an all-time high.
The Graph’s improved support equips developers with efficient tools to build dapps and analyze on-chain data, reducing costs and speeding up the process. The upgraded stack is not only easier to use but also faster to index, with a historical cache of Solana blocks that are 25% the size of a full-block.
A Multi-Chain Vision for Web3
These upgrades align with The Graph’s mission to foster interoperability across the decentralized web, supporting a multi-chain future. With over 9,000 subgraphs across 70+ blockchains, The Graph Network continues to provide developers with a robust, decentralized data network. The recent transition away from a free hosted service to a fully decentralized network underscores its commitment to data autonomy and decentralization.
As Web3 demand continues to grow, The Graph is positioning itself as a cornerstone of decentralized data infrastructure, expanding its vision to accommodate new data services and use cases.
