Polyhedra Network, the team behind the zero-knowledge (ZK) interoperability solution zkBridge, is teaming up with Google Cloud to expand adoption of ZK technologies across both Web3 and Web2.

According to details the Polyhedra team shared in a press release, Google Cloud will help bring Polyhedra’s Proof Cloud to more users.

Proof Cloud is a cloud-based service that allows developers to leverage zero-knowledge (zk) proofs at scale.

Making ZK proofs accessible to more users

The partnership is set to boost the ZK-as-a-service space, with Polyhedra users leveraging Google Cloud’s highly optimized infrastructure to get improved performance and reliability.

Polyhedra eyes this improvements via multiple Google Cloud servies, including Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Hyperdisk, Vertex AI and Blockchain Node Engine (BNE).

“Integrating with Google Cloud is the first step towards making zero-knowledge proof services accessible to all. Zero-knowledge proofs offer an innovative solution to the issues of data validity and scalable computation present in modern-day computing processes,” Eric Vreeland, the Chief Strategy Officer at Polyhedra Network, said.

According to Vreeland, the collaboration with the cloud computing services giant is set to expand Polyhedra’s presence and reach in the Web3 space.

The key infrastructure that Google Cloud brings to the ecosystem will ensure Polyhedra’s zero-knowledge products gain traction and helps bring more Web2 users to Web3.

“We are committed to helping the Web3 ecosystem grow by providing developers with secure and scalable technology to build new and innovative applications,” Rishi Ramchandani, Google Cloud’s Head of APAC Web3, said.

Polyhedra recently valued at $1 billion

Google Cloud has increased its collaboration within the blockchain ecosystem. Recently, the company joined Flare Network as an infrastructure provider and validator.

The partnership with Polyhedra follows the blockchain-based project’s $20 million funding round, closed at a valuation of $1 billion.

Venture capital firm Polychain Capital led the strategic funding round that also attracted Web3 investing behemoth Animoca Brands. Hashkey Capital, Emirates Consortium, Mapleblock Capital, UoB Ventures and Longhash Ventures among other VCs also backed Polyhedra.

Growth for the ZK-proofs infrastructure platform has seen its interoperability solution zkBridge increase connectivity to over 25 blockchains.

Crypto exchange Bitget recently added Polyhedra Network as its 64th Launchpool project.
