On September 12, Startale Labs and Sony Network Communications, a subsidiary of the $108 billion Sony Corporation, officially united to establish an innovative blockchain system. The collaboration aims to make a significant impact in the Web3 space with Sony Network Communications.

Following a global call for participation, 19 projects were selected from over 200 applications based on their synergy with Sony Network Communications and Astar Network.

The venture focuses on three key objectives, revolutionizing entertainment, and creation experiences, supporting creators and artists through Web3 and NFT technologies, and introducing services centered around the theme of the Digital Twin. The launch timeline is set, and the collaboration promises exciting developments in the coming months.

Back in June, Sony had revealed a $3.5 million investment in Startale. Startale Labs is the entity behind the Polkadot Parachain Astar Network. That debuted last year as a smart contract platform for crypto applications, utilizing the ASTR token.
