Flare, the EVM-based layer 1 blockchain, has integrated its API on Google Cloud Marketing. Thanks to the nature of the platform, this move has resulted in the onboarding of a good number of important blockchain APIs to the ecosystem.

In a development that will surely interest industry insiders, the integration of Flare API on Google Cloud Marketing will enable the free flow of high-integrity blockchain data from Flare nodes and associated chain nodes to a large pool of developers and users.

Blockchain APIs that will benefit directly from the integration include those of Algorand, Bitcoin, BNB Smart Chain, Ethereum, Dogecoin, Flare, Litecoin, Songbird, XRP ledger, and others that may be supported in the future.

The Mission to Build True Cross-Chain Applications

A top Layer-1 Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) blockchain, Flare is dedicated to enabling open, decentralized and safe interoperability between blockchains, as well as between blockchains and Web 2. Its Application Programming Interface (API) is super-helpful for building cross-chain applications that can query several different data sources. It works best with cryptocurrency exchanges and wallets that use its API portal.

It's already known that blockchain APIs safes developers the stress and resources required to run their own nodes for the respective blockchains they interact with. It enables them to access data that can power applications and supports them to execute transactions accurately.

Speaking about the potential impact of integrating Flare API on Google Cloud Marketplace, Flare’s Vice President of Engineering, Josh Edwards, said:

“It makes it easier for developers to experiment with blockchain technology and its many use cases without being burdened by onerous hardware costs and ongoing maintenance.”

He went further to suggest that partners and larger organizations that use Google Cloud Marketplace would eventually switch to experimenting with the secure and approved Web3 APIs.

Expanding the Flare Oracle

Flare has always been upfront with its ambition of extending the utility of blockchain technology. One of the primary ways it facilitates this is by providing data from different chains and Web2 sources. There may soon be over 100 chains that collectively form the Flare oracle.

Flare is, however, not the only network making inroads in this regard. A few days ago, and Google Cloud entered into a multi-year partnership that will see the cloud computing service provider boost Polygon’s tools and infrastructure development.

Wrapping Up

Flare APIs' integration with Google Cloud Marketplace will be beneficial to both developers and users. In fact, it will contribute significantly to crypto adoption across the board. Also, we'll likely witness other partnerships that will bring substantial improvements, just like that of Flare and Polygon.

The benefits of partnerships between blockchain platforms like Flare and Polygon and cloud computing service providers like Google Cloud Marketplace cannot be overemphasized. It further strengthens the effort to move from Web2 to Web3 in the most sustainable manner.
