The API Portal is also used by major exchanges and wallets as a safeguard against their own infrastructure. Flare’s integration with the Marketplace implies that any Google Cloud user can seamlessly access all of Flare’s existing APIs using their current Google Cloud account. Purchasing Flare APIs via Google Cloud Marketplace can also contribute to a customer’s dedicated spending on Google Cloud.
Josh Edwards, Flare’s VP of Engineering, said: “Greater availability of leading blockchain APIs on platforms such as Google Cloud Marketplace reduces the barriers to Web3 participation. It makes it easier for developers to experiment with blockchain technology and its many use cases without being burdened by onerous hardware costs and ongoing maintenance.”
Edwards went on to say: “It also opens up the possibility for larger organizations and partners to experiment with a safe, secure, and approved set of Web3 APIs. As a result, developer teams have the flexibility to create applications without any infrastructure headache which allows them to focus on creating and shipping great products.”
Broadening the Utility of Blockchain Technology
The Layer 1 infrastructure of Flare, which is based on the EVM, is created to enhance the usefulness of blockchain technology by granting decentralized access to trustworthy data originating from other chains and Web2 sources. As every blockchain that is linked through Flare’s interoperability and data infrastructure will eventually be integrated into Google Cloud, developers will have access to the top 100 chains.
Talking about this significant development, James Tromans, Head of Web3 Engineering at Google Cloud, said: “We’re excited to support and promote the ambitions of our Web3 partners in our ecosystem, with the integration of Flare’s high-performance APIs into our Marketplace.”
Being a leading EVM-based Layer 1 blockchain, Flare provides developers with decentralized access to dependable data originating from other chains and the internet. This feature facilitates the emergence of innovative use cases and monetization strategies while allowing applications to serve multiple chains with just one deployment.
Flare’s State Connector protocols enable the secure, scalable, and trustless utilization of information originating from other blockchains and the internet with smart contracts on Flare. The Flare Time Series Oracle provides dApps on Flare with decentralized price and data feeds, without having to depend on centralized providers, ensuring high decentralization.
The Flare API Portal functions as a pathway to Flare’s chains and all the chains linked through Flare’s data acquisition protocols. It simplifies the process of accessing the nodes of the most prominent blockchains for developers. With the ability to build on Flare using more data than ever before, or construct solutions with Flare to serve multiple ecosystems, developers can take advantage of this feature to design sophisticated applications.
