Polygon zkEVM Era Approaches

Things are starting to look a lot more real for the Polygon zkEVM rollup, as the layer-2 Ethereum solution now supports Etherscan, the most familiar blockchain explorer to crypto users.

The integration of the Etherscan explorer, accessible at https://testnet-zkevm.polygonscan.com, was announced by both the Polygon ZK and Etherscan Twitter accounts.

The zero-knowledge rollup is expected to bring unprecedented speeds and low transaction costs, even in comparison to the Polygon sidechain which is already fast and cheap.

The mainnet beta launch of Polygon ZK is scheduled for March 27, including an appearance from Ethereum Co-Founder Vitalik Buterin.

What is Polygon:

Polygon is a “sidechain” scaling solution that runs alongside the Ethereum blockchain — allowing for speedy transactions and low fees. MATIC is the network’s native cryptocurrency, which is used for fees, staking, and more. The effectiveness of Polygon as an alternative to Ethereum has seen existing projects such as Aave and Curve adopting its chain.
