MEXC announced in a release distributed on GlobeNewswire at 07:52 a.m. ET on September 30, 2026 that it has added another 1,000 $BTC to its Guardian Fund, marking the second major bitcoin allocation to the reserve so far this year.
The addition brings the Guardian Fund’s combined holdings to 2,000 $BTC alongside 100 million $USDT, continuing toward the $500 million expansion target MEXC first announced for the fund in May 2026, to be built out over a two-year period. The Guardian Fund functions as a dedicated reserve intended to strengthen user protection against security incidents and other risks facing the exchange and its customers, sitting separate from MEXC’s regular operating and trading balances.
