Strategy, the world’s largest publicly traded Bitcoin holder, did not continue its purchases from last week and, as has been the case for a long time, spent this week without making any purchases.
The company, which has been making headlines in recent weeks with its $BTC sales, currently holds 845,050 $BTC.
Strategy Did Not Continue Its Bitcoin Purchases!
According to a statement by Strategy founder Michael Saylor, Strategy neither bought nor sold Bitcoin last week.
“…As of 07/09/2026, we own 845,050 $BTC.”
Instead, the company bought back the preferred shares of STRC for $176 million.
Saylor stated that the company’s USD reserves amount to $6.5 billion and that it has increased the size of its Digital Credit Securities Buyback Program from $1 billion to $2 billion.
At this point, Strategy had established a $1 billion buyback program in June to repurchase its own preferred shares such as STRC, STRF, STRK, and STRD from the market. The reserve allocated for this program has now been increased to $2 billion.
Meanwhile, another Bitcoin treasury company, Strive, announced that it purchased 1,375 $BTC for $109 million, bringing its total $BTC holdings to 24,531.
