According to Galaxy Research data, six Bitcoin wallets created between 2011 and 2014 that had been inactive for a long time have become active again. These addresses transferred a total of 553.59 $BTC between August 16 and 26. At current prices, the total value of the transferred Bitcoins is approximately $40 million.
One notable point was that one of the wallets that moved hadn’t been active for over 15 years. This suggests that some assets from Bitcoin’s very early days have started moving again on the chain.
According to Galaxy Research’s analysis, five out of six wallets sent their Bitcoins to addresses not linked to any known cryptocurrency exchanges. Therefore, there is no clear indication that these transfers were directly intended for sale.
