Strategy’s Bitcoin Stash Hits 639,835 BTC After $99.7M Buy

On Monday, Sept. 22, the heavyweight of bitcoin treasuries, Strategy, revealed it scooped up 850 BTC for a cool $99.7 million.

Michael Saylor of Strategy jumped on X to confirm the buy, casually pointing out that his firm made good on the hint he dropped Sunday about padding the company’s bitcoin stash. “Strategy has acquired 850 BTC for ~$99.7 million at ~$117,344 per bitcoin and has achieved BTC Yield of 26.0% YTD 2025,” Saylor explained at 8 a.m. Eastern time. “As of 9/21/2025, we hodl 639,835 BTC acquired for ~$47.33 billion at ~$73,971 per bitcoin,” he added. The announcement trails Metaplanet’s hefty grab of 5,419 BTC, adding another bold move to the corporate bitcoin buying spree.
