Chainlink ($LINK) could be approaching a recovery phase after its recent correction, according to crypto analyst Michaël van de Poppe. He believes the token has the potential to move above $20 by the first quarter of 2027, pointing to improving market structure and bullish signals on the weekly chart. His outlook comes as $LINK attempts to regain momentum following a sharp pullback from its September high.

Why Does the Analyst Expect Chainlink Price to Reach $20?

Van de Poppe’s bullish outlook is based on $LINK’s recent price structure. The token previously rallied from around $7 in June to nearly $16 in September before giving back a significant portion of those gains. The correction amounted to approximately 35% from the September peak.

$LINK is primed for a move towards $20.

It's seen a 35% correction since the recent high in September, and it's bottoming of that.

While everyone is busy thinking about the worst that could happen to the markets, the opposite is likely to be true.

However, the analyst believes the decline may have completed an important liquidity sweep. $LINK moved below the November 2025 low near $10.60 before attempting to recover. Such a move can clear liquidity around previous lows and potentially create conditions for a reversal if buyers regain control.

Van de Poppe considers this downside sweep largely complete. He identifies a weekly close above the $10.60 area as an important sign that buying pressure is returning. If the level holds and momentum strengthens, he sees Chainlink moving above $20 in Q1 2027.

Weekly MACD and RSI Signals Strengthen the Bullish Case

The analyst also points to bullish divergence on the weekly MACD and Relative Strength Index (RSI). These signals emerged after $LINK formed a bottom in June and began its recovery toward the September high.

Bullish divergence occurs when an asset’s price makes lower lows while momentum indicators form higher lows. It can suggest that selling pressure is weakening, although it does not guarantee an immediate reversal. For Van de Poppe, the weekly momentum signals support the possibility that $LINK’s recent decline is part of a broader recovery structure rather than the beginning of another sustained downturn.

The $10.60 zone remains important to this outlook. A sustained recovery above it would strengthen the analyst’s setup, while renewed weakness below the level could delay the expected move.

What Comes Next for Chainlink Price?

Chainlink’s ability to hold above the $10.60 area will be important in determining whether the analyst’s bullish scenario gains traction. A sustained recovery could bring the $12 region back into focus, followed by stronger resistance around the recent trading range.

However, $LINK still needs consistent buying pressure to turn the recovery attempt into a broader uptrend. Failure to hold the key support area would weaken the immediate bullish setup and leave the token vulnerable to further downside.

Van de Poppe’s target of above $20 by Q1 2027 therefore remains conditional on the weekly price structure improving. For now, traders will be watching whether $LINK can defend its recent lows and build enough momentum to support the next leg higher.
