Aptos Price Slides While Payment Giants Lean on Its Rails

  • Aptos remains below both major moving averages after losing several Fibonacci support levels.
  • Buyers defended a key support zone in late October, but the rebound has stayed shallow.
  • Aptos is pitching itself as the settlement layer for payment platforms in emerging markets.
  • Stablecoin transfers on these platforms rarely require users to hold $APT.

The Aptos price stood at $0.6373 on Binance on November 1, leaving $APT about 9% lower over the past seven days and roughly 34% below the $0.9655 wick high it printed in mid-October, with its market capitalization near $562 million. The slide continued a day after Aptos used its official X account to showcase payment platforms that move stablecoins on its network across Africa, Latin America and the Philippines, with Bitso and Coins.ph alone counting more than 14 million customers, a reach the token’s chart has so far ignored.

One Candle Broke $0.6834

Through late September and early October, $APT held between the 0.382 Fibonacci retracement at $0.7911 and the 0.236 level at $0.8578, and its only attempt at the 200-day EMA ended with a long upper wick. The Fibonacci grid on this chart runs from the late-August low at $0.5090 to the October peak, giving traders a map of where a pullback might pause. Sellers took out $0.7373 in the second half of October, and a single heavy red candle near month-end then carried the price through $0.6834 in one session.

That candle’s lower wick dipped to about $0.575 before buyers absorbed the selling and lifted the close back above the 0.786 retracement at $0.6067. Trading since then has stayed inside a $0.63 to $0.65 band, which shows dip buyers are active even though they have not yet pushed $APT back toward the levels it lost.

50-Day EMA Caps the Aptos Price

The 50-day EMA at $0.7286 sits about 12.5% above the price and has turned lower, overlapping with the 0.5 Fibonacci level at $0.7373 to form a single resistance zone. The 200-day EMA at $0.8785 has sloped downward since June and capped the October rally, so $APT has spent the entire period on the chart beneath its long-term average.

The 14-day RSI reads 37.43, telling readers that losing days have clearly outweighed winning ones in recent weeks, although selling has not reached the extreme below 30 that often comes before a reflex bounce. When the RSI last broke under 30 in early June, $APT spent the following month moving sideways between roughly $0.57 and $0.68 instead of recovering quickly.

Aptos Bets on Stablecoin Payments

In its October 31 post, Aptos pointed to three platforms already running on its rails. Yellow Card, a pan-African crypto infrastructure firm, moves $USDC and $USDT on Aptos across 20 countries through a service the two sides launched with instant, gas-sponsored transfers in July 2025. Latin American crypto platform Bitso gives its 9 million customers access to $USDT and $USDC on Aptos under an August 2025 partnership with Aptos Foundation, while Coins.ph supports $USDT deposits and withdrawals on the network for more than 5 million verified users in the Philippines.

A newer route flagged in the same post is still in testing, as Nigerian B2B payments startup Daya and HashKey MENA, a Dubai exchange licensed by the emirate’s Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority, are piloting a regulated stablecoin corridor between Africa and the Middle East, with Aptos acting as the settlement layer and Aptos Foundation backing the project, according to HashKey’s June announcement.

Platform Reach on Aptos What moves
Yellow Card Africa 20 countries $USDC and $USDT transfers
Bitso Latin America 9M customers $USDT and $USDC access
Coins.ph Philippines 5M+ verified users $USDT deposits and withdrawals
Daya and HashKey MENA Africa-MENA Pilot corridor B2B stablecoin settlement

Why Stablecoin Volume Skips $APT

Customers on all of these platforms send dollar-pegged tokens such as $USDT and $USDC, and the transfers are built so they never need to buy $APT first. Yellow Card’s transfers are gas-sponsored, which means network fees are paid on the user’s behalf, and on custodial platforms such as Bitso and Coins.ph the company handles any $APT needed for fees in the background, at costs below $0.001 per transaction. Aptos does burn the gas fees paid on every transaction, so rising activity slowly removes $APT from circulation, but at fractions of a cent per transfer the effect is far too small to create meaningful buying pressure.

Bitso’s 9 million users can reach $USDT on Aptos, yet neither Aptos nor the platforms disclosed in the post how much of their stablecoin volume actually settles on the network instead of rival chains such as Tron or Ethereum.

The Daily Close Bulls Need

A daily close back above $0.6834 would put the $0.7286 to $0.7373 zone back in play for the Aptos price, and breaking through it would return $APT above its 50-day EMA for the first time since late October. A close below $0.6067 would undo the recent defense and leave $0.5610 as the next support, with the August low at $0.5090 marking the base of the whole Fibonacci structure. For the payments story, stablecoin supply on Aptos and transfer counts from these payment partners are the numbers most likely to show real adoption before the price does.

The Daya corridor could matter most over time because it extends HashKey’s Asia Connect network, which already links stablecoin payment routes across Hong Kong, the Philippines and Vietnam, so a move from pilot to full launch would put Aptos settlement inside a network spanning Asia, the Gulf and Africa, the expansion Aptos itself flagged as its next step when it announced the corridor in June.
