It’s a Multi-Chain World
Edward agreed with Gokhshtein that some $XRP influencers could be hurting the asset by promoting extreme price targets without considering the realities such prices carry.
He urged investors to consider market capitalization instead of accepting price predictions that generate excitement. He also challenged claims that every central bank would use $XRP or the $XRP Ledger.
“It’s a multi-chain world,” Edward said, pointing to Ethereum, Solana, and $XRP as examples of networks serving different industries and use cases.
His comments suggest that expectations of $XRP capturing virtually all institutional blockchain activity fail to account for competition from other networks.
Gokhshtein Says Extreme Price Damages $XRP Credibility
Gokhshtein raised concerns about the volume of extreme $XRP forecasts circulating on TikTok, Instagram, and other social media platforms.
He recalled seeing predictions of $10,000 $XRP and even $25,000 $XRP shortly before the end of a previous year. He argued that such claims make the assets difficult for outsiders to take seriously.
“In that situation, you’re talking about everybody selling and converting to $XRP, plus people selling off precious metals, with a bunch of money pouring in,” Gokhshtein said.
Meanwhile, Gokhshtein did not rule out much lower double-digit price targets. He suggested that $12 $XRP is achievable
Edward Urges $XRP Investors to Diversify
Beyond criticizing extreme price forecasts, Edward encouraged investors to diversify their holdings instead of concentrating their portfolios around a single asset.
He identified Bitcoin as his largest holding and said he intended to keep it long term, including as part of his retirement plans. He urged investors to build a portfolio around a manageable number of assets, naming Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, $XRP, and Cardano as possible examples.
Ultimately, he said investors should set realistic expectations and avoid conspiracy theories.
