Supporters of the $4 target see the current $1.28 to $1.33 zone as a base like the one $XRP formed in 2024. Both the 100-day and 200-day moving averages sit close to $1.28, which they treat as a support floor.
The path outlined has several stages:
-
$1.60 to $1.73: major resistance that would need to break to confirm bullish momentum
-
$2.19, $2.56 and $2.93: Fibonacci levels to clear next
-
$3.46, then $3.66: the second figure is $XRP’s all-time high
-
$4.14: a Fibonacci extension close to the $4 target
A shorter-term view suggests that a move above $1.42 would put $1.52 in play.
The Ceiling Tested Seven Times
However, $XRP has tested its $1.27 to $1.55 range seven times. It bounced off the $1.27 floor again this week.
On that view, the path forward is:
- $1.27, then $1.40, then $1.48, then $1.55
- If $XRP breaks above $1.55 on heavy volume and holds there, $1.70 and $1.88 come into view.
The same reading warns that levels tested many times can weaken, so an eighth test of $1.55 is not certain to produce a breakout.
Can Retail Interest Lift $XRP?
Some market watchers are looking at retail attention instead of charts. A new @$XRP handle on X and the $XRP.org website could bring fresh buyers in. $XRP’s reputation as a “normie chain” is seen as a possible strength, since marketing to everyday users can drive demand.
They point to the launch of First Ledger, a meme coin platform on the $XRP Ledger. When it launched, $XRP was trading near $0.52. In the weeks that followed, $XRP climbed to about $2.80, and on-chain activity picked up as the platform grew. It is unclear whether the meme coins lifted $XRP or $XRP’s rally drew traders to the meme coins, and the timing may have been a coincidence. According to XRPScan data, XRPL activity is rising again.
What $4 Would Require
For $XRP to reach $4, it would need to:
- Break the $1.55 ceiling that has held through seven tests
- Clear the $1.60 to $1.73 resistance zone
- Rise past its $3.66 all-time high, all before November 30
The 2024 rally shows that large moves are possible, but that climb from $0.50 took weeks of buildup. For now, $XRP is trading in the lower half of its range.
