Monero [$XMR] stood out among the market’s few gainers, surging 10% over the previous 24 hours despite broader bearish pressure.

AMBCrypto’s Monero price prediction also pointed to bullish signals.

Trading Volume nearly doubled to $147 million, indicating increased market participation. Spot and Futures activity also climbed as traders returned to the privacy-focused cryptocurrency.

Meanwhile, rising Open Interest and long-heavy positioning suggested growing appetite for leveraged exposure. The recovery had buyers behind it. Whether that demand could keep pace with leverage would help determine its staying power.

Is Monero’s spot demand keeping pace?

Both Spot and Futures markets recorded sharp increases in activity.

Monero’s Spot Volume jumped 171% to $13.13 million, while Futures Volume increased 70% to $200 million.

Spot activity grew faster in percentage terms, although reported Futures Volume remained considerably larger. That gave the recovery a stronger participation backdrop.

However, Trading Volume measured activity on both sides, rather than buying pressure alone.

Could crowded longs threaten $XMR’s recovery?

According to AMBCrypto’s analysis of derivatives data, Monero’s Open Interest rose 11% to $261 million. The increase showed that the value of outstanding derivatives contracts expanded as $XMR recovered.

Meanwhile, the reported Long/Short positioning data put longs at approximately 63%, indicating a bullish skew within the tracked sample.

This positioning could accompany further gains if Spot demand remained strong and prices continued rising.

However, the same bullish crowd could become vulnerable if buying faded. Forced exits from leveraged longs could then intensify selling pressure.

Can Monero’s price recovery reach $650?

$XMR’s rising Trading Volume and Open Interest showed renewed participation. Long-heavy positioning also suggested bullish expectations among tracked traders.

For the recovery to continue, buyers would need to sustain demand and defend the latest gains.

On the daily chart, Monero traded above its key Exponential Moving Averages (EMAs). It also continued respecting the $475–$500 demand zone. That area had produced several rebounds, giving traders an established support region to watch.

If bullish momentum continued, the $650 swing high could become the next upside target. Conversely, weaker Spot activity or unwinding longs could stall the recovery. The $475–$500 zone would then become a test of buyer commitment.

Final Summary

  • Monero gained 10% as Spot Volume, Futures Volume, and Open Interest increased.
  • Sustained demand could support $XMR’s move toward $650, while crowded longs could amplify a reversal.
