With approximately 589.23 trillion $SHIB in circulating supply at the time of publication, Shiba Inu had a market cap of roughly $3.02 billion. For this memecoin to have a market valuation of $20 billion, the token’s price must return to rally towards $0.000035, which marked its 2024 bull run peak.
Worth noting that Shiba Inu’s price had capitulated over 94% from its all-time high ($ATH) of about $0.00008845, set on October 28, 2021. Notably, this memecoin attained a market cap of $41.121 billion at its $ATH.
As a result, $SHIB’s $20 billion market cap target for 2027 is only half of its previous $ATH.
Why Dogecoin and $SHIB are the memecoins targeting $20B by 2027
Throughout the past crypto bear market, $DOGE and $SHIB held their first and second positions, by market cap, respectively. At the time of reporting, both of these memecoins were the most visited, according to data Finbold fetched from CoinMarketCap.
Over the past 7 days, $DOGE and $SHIB had fallen 5.3%, to $0.08476 and $0.000005163, respectively.
Nonetheless, as more institutional investors, including Citigroup Inc. (NYSE: C), signal a bullish outlook for cryptocurrencies – led by Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) – before the end of the fourth quarter (Q4) of 2026, $DOGE and $SHIB are very likely to reclaim a $20 billion market cap.
