Is Cardano Worth Holding in 2026? Lark Davis Compares ADA With Bitcoin Stocks

Crypto analyst Lark Davis believes Strive could offer greater upside potential than Cardano ($ADA), citing concerns about Cardano’s network activity and long-term growth.

During a discussion with crypto investor Mitzio, Davis questioned whether $ADA remains worth holding after years of development. He suggested that investors consider Strive, a Bitcoin-focused treasury company, instead of continuing to hold Cardano.

Why Lark Davis Prefers Strive Over Cardano

Davis questioned whether Cardano’s network usage justifies its valuation. He acknowledged that $ADA has a loyal community and could rise during a crypto market rally, but argued that a price recovery does not necessarily mean it will outperform other investments.

He compared the valuations putting Strive’s market capitalization at around $2 billion to $2.5 billion and Cardano’s at approximately $10 billion.

Davis also pointed to Strive’s previous share price high of around $260, arguing that a recovery could offer significant upside. He compared this potential with Strategy (MSTR), which he said had significantly outperformed Cardano during a previous Bitcoin market cycle.

However, Strive’s return to its previous high is not guaranteed. Its shares carry company-specific risks and may not track Bitcoin’s price directly.

Davis Questions Cardano’s Long-Term Growth

Davis said Cardano has not achieved the level of network activity he expected after years of development. He recalled buying $ADA when it traded at just a few cents, when he believed its future growth potential was more compelling.

He argued that investors should assess whether Cardano has delivered the adoption and progress they originally expected rather than relying on its past performance or community support.

Mitzio Reconsiders His Cardano Holdings

Mitzio said he still holds older altcoin investments, including Cardano, despite no longer making new allocations to altcoins. He explained that he had continued holding these assets while waiting for a better time to sell.

Davis challenged this approach, asking investors to consider whether they would buy the same cryptocurrency with fresh capital today.

“If I could buy this today, would I buy it?” Davis said.

Mitzio agreed that investors should review their existing holdings and consider whether they still align with their investment goals.

Can Strive Outperform Cardano?

Davis sees Strive and Strategy as alternatives for investors seeking exposure to Bitcoin through publicly traded companies. However, these stocks carry risks linked to their business decisions, financing and market valuations, while Cardano’s prospects depend on its adoption and demand for $ADA.

Davis’s argument was that investors should not keep holding Cardano simply because they bought it years ago. Instead, they should reassess its growth prospects and compare them with other opportunities before making investment decisions.
