LayerZero’s [$ZRO] regulated stablecoin push was reinforced as new institutional integrations broadened its role across dollar- and won-denominated assets.

Specifically, Anchorage Digital reportedly selected LayerZero as an interoperability collaborator for Tether’s $USAT stablecoin. The asset utilizes the Omnichain Fungible Token standard associated with LayerZero.

The framework enables $USAT to function natively across the supported blockchains rather than depending on the wrapped versions.

Additionally, LayerZero’s stablecoin infrastructure also extended beyond the U.S. market through a different partnership with BDACS, a Korean digital asset custodian.

In particular, the digital asset management firm recently picked LayerZero technology for KRW1, its Korean won-backed stablecoin.

Both the integrations combined expanded LayerZero’s infrastructure across the regulated stablecoin initiatives, hence targeting different currencies and markets.

Spot buyers drive $ZRO’s rally

The above-mentioned institutional developments emerged alongside a robust activity across $ZRO’s spot market.

Notably, $ZRO price surged 16.46% over 24 hours at press time, while its spot trading volume expanded 22.24% within the same period.

Furthermore, the Spot Taker CVD indicator also printed taker-buy dominance, suggesting the bulls aggressively controlled the prevailing market orders over the measured period.

The activity introduced additional context behind the price rally as the advance coincided with the expanded spot participation. The token’s market capitalization climbed to nearly $677.98 million following the recent price expansion.

Besides, its unlocked market capitalization stood higher at roughly $1.28 billion, suggesting the broader valuation of the circulating unlocked supply.

OI rises as Futures volume cools

As $ZRO price pushed higher, the derivatives activity, on the other hand, presented a more mixed outlook.

At the time of writing, LayerZero’s Open Interest (OI) saw a surge of 13.73% to around $187 million, highlighting more outstanding derivatives positions entered the market during the price uptick.

The derivatives trading volume, however, fell 14.51% to $203.41 million during the measured 24-hour period. This divergence implied that the outstanding exposure increased even as overall derivatives turnover declined.

The recent price expansion in positioning, therefore, had not been accompanied by a similar increase in futures trading activity.

$ZRO eyes $2 as RSI overheats

$ZRO’s price action strengthened considerably following a recovery from the September lows around the $0.973 support region. The rally cleared the $1.526 resistance, converting a crucial resistance level into the next potential support area.

At the time of writing, $ZRO market value traded around $1.85, placing the token within reach of the psychological $2 resistance region. The MACD indicator remained bullish, with the MACD line extending above its signal line as the positive histogram bars persisted.

The technical indicator favored continued upside pressure as the bulls defended the breakout above the $1.526 region. Notably, the RSI climbed to 78.05, placing $ZRO firmly within the overbought conditions and increasing a possibility of a short-term correction following the rapid advance.

Ultimately, a price correction could retest the $1.526 support level before another upside attempt in case the bulls continue defending the breakout.

Final Summary

  • LayerZero’s regulated stablecoin integrations strengthen $ZRO’s narrative as spot demand increases.
  • $ZRO could test $2, although an overbought RSI raises short-term pullback risks.
