Zcash ($ZEC) has extended its bullish run, with price strength supported by rising derivatives activity and elevated market participation. $ZEC recently traded near $1,166 after reaching the $1,250 area before entering a modest pullback.

The token still trades well above its major daily moving averages. Hence, the broader trend remains firmly bullish despite signs of cooling buying pressure.

$ZEC Price Holds a Strong Technical Structure

$ZEC continues to maintain a bullish structure on the daily chart. The price remains comfortably above its 20-day EMA at $1,020.90. Additionally, the 50-day EMA sits at $827.28, while the 100-day EMA stands at $683.33.

The 200-day EMA remains much lower at $554.43. This wide separation between the moving averages highlights the strength of $ZEC’s longer-term momentum. Besides, the current price remains above the $1,061 support level.

A sustained hold above this area could allow buyers to challenge the $1,200-$1,250 resistance zone again. Significantly, a breakout above that region could open the path toward $1,297.

However, losing $1,061 could weaken the current structure. Consequently, $ZEC could then revisit the $990-$1,000 area. This zone also aligns with the 0.618 Fibonacci retracement level.

Additionally, the Chaikin Money Flow indicator has declined to 0.12. It previously stood above 0.30, showing that buying pressure has weakened.

Open Interest Signals Rising Speculation

Zcash’s derivatives market has expanded sharply alongside the latest price advance. Open interest climbed from subdued levels earlier this year and accelerated during March.

The metric eventually moved above $1 billion before continuing higher. By September 15, open interest had reached roughly $2.17 billion.

That increase suggests traders have added significant positions around $ZEC’s latest move. Moreover, the elevated positioning could amplify price swings if traders begin closing leveraged positions. Therefore, rising open interest supports the bullish momentum but also introduces greater downside risk.

Spot Flows Show Caution

$ZEC’s spot flows offer a less convincing signal than the derivatives market. Inflows have appeared periodically, but outflows have remained frequent throughout recent months.

August produced several stronger inflow spikes, suggesting renewed demand from spot traders. However, the flow pattern remained inconsistent rather than showing sustained accumulation.

On September 15, $ZEC recorded a net outflow of approximately $1.05 million. This reading points toward short-term selling pressure despite the token’s recent price strength.

Technical Outlook For Zcash Price

Key levels remain well-defined as $ZEC consolidates after its latest rally:

Upside levels: $1,200–$1,250 forms the immediate resistance zone. A breakout could push $ZEC toward $1,297 and potentially higher.

Downside levels: $1,061 represents immediate support, followed by the $990–$1,000 zone. A deeper correction could expose $873 and $800.

Resistance ceiling: $1,297 is the key level to flip for stronger bullish momentum. $ZEC remains well above its major EMAs, keeping the broader trend positive.

The technical picture suggests $ZEC remains in a strong bullish structure despite its recent pullback. However, weakening CMF shows that buying pressure has cooled. Rising open interest also points to increased speculative positioning around the current price.

Will Zcash Go Up?

The Zcash price prediction depends heavily on whether buyers can defend $1,061 and reclaim the $1,200–$1,250 resistance cluster. A decisive breakout could strengthen momentum toward $1,297.

Moreover, the surge in open interest could amplify the next move as traders increase leveraged exposure. However, recent spot outflows suggest that demand remains uneven.

If $ZEC loses $1,061, sellers could target $990–$1,000, with $873 becoming the next downside level. For now, $ZEC remains in a pivotal zone, with the $1,250 breakout level likely to determine its next major move.
