Zcash price prediction for September 11 stays bullish above $963.29, with today’s pullback testing whether $ZEC’s parabolic run has room left or needs to cool off first.

Zcash Price Analysis: Is $ZEC’s Parabolic Move Cooling Off?

Zcash Price Analysis (Source: TradingView)

$ZEC trades near $1,236.27, down 0.65% today after touching an intraday high of $1,256.57, the second red session in a row following a vertical move from roughly $800 to above $1,250 in under two weeks. That move blew straight through an ascending channel that had contained $ZEC’s price since June, price is now trading well above both the channel’s upper boundary and every EMA on the chart.

The 20-day EMA at $963.29 sits as the nearest real support, with the 50-day at $766.30 and 100-day at $639.28 further below, both still reflecting how far price has run in a short window. RSI at 77.99 is overbought, but it’s worth noting this isn’t new territory for $ZEC this year, the indicator hit similar levels in April, May, and August without triggering an immediate reversal each time, so overbought alone hasn’t been a reliable sell signal on this chart.

$ZEC News: Zcash ETF Tops $500 Million in AUM, Two Weeks After Launch

The world's only Zcash fund just surpassed $500M+ in AUM. $ZCSH now holds over 550,000 $ZEC.

Private money is attracting real capital.

The Zcash ETF (ZCSH) grew its assets under management to more than $500 million, according to a September 8 announcement, just two weeks after its August 25 launch on NYSE Arca. Grayscale also launched ZCSH options trading on NYSE Arca the same day, giving investors exchange-traded tools to hedge or take positions on $ZEC without holding it directly.

Roughly $100 million of that growth came from DCG International Investments contributing 85,705 $ZEC in exchange for ZCSH shares, an arrangement disclosed before the ETF launched. The remaining growth, more than $70 million, came from independent inflows since launch, according to Grayscale’s Head of Index Steve Vanourny. ZCSH remains the only exchange-traded product in the world offering direct spot exposure to $ZEC.

$ZEC News: Mining Veteran Calls the Rally a “Narrative Bid”

Zcash’s latest rally is a narrative bid. A big market cap does not mean a coin earned its place. Sitting near Solana and Hyperliquid on a ranking list does not mean Zcash does what those two do.

The launch was not fair. For the first four years, 20 percent of every block reward… https://t.co/g1PNEKWCNr

— Chun (@satofishi) September 8, 2026

F2Pool co-founder Chun Wang laid out a longer case against Zcash’s climb into crypto’s top 10, calling it a “narrative bid” built on a listing and a short squeeze rather than real usage. He raised four specific points:

  • The launch wasn’t fair: For Zcash’s first four years, 20% of every block reward went to founders, staff, and early investors as the “Founders’ Reward,” totaling 2.1 million $ZEC, 10% of the entire 21 million supply cap. When that ended, a similar 20% cut returned as a “development fund.”
  • Privacy was optional, not default: Most $ZEC has sat in transparent addresses for most of the coin’s history, exchanges and basic wallets defaulted to the open option. Wang argues optional privacy is a marketing pitch, not a protocol guarantee.
  • Governance has been unstable: In January 2026, Zcash’s entire Electric Coin Company team left, saying they’d been pushed out by the project’s nonprofit board.
  • A four-year security hole: A bug in the Orchard shielded pool, present for roughly four years before being disclosed in May 2026, could theoretically have let someone mint fake $ZEC with no way to prove it happened, since the pool itself is private. Zcash’s July Ironwood upgrade closed the old pool, which Wang calls cleanup, not evidence the network deserves a top-10 valuation.

Wang’s bottom line: Solana and Hyperliquid may draw their own criticism, but both clear real transaction volume. In his view, Zcash’s price move reflects a listing and a squeeze, not comparable usage, and treating the two as equivalent is the kind of mixup he compares to confusing BTC with USD or EST with EDT.

Zcash Derivatives: Shorts Keep Losing, But Account Positioning Stays Bearish

$ZEC Derivative Analysis (Source: Coinglass)

$ZEC derivatives volume jumped 20.17% to $8.49 billion over 24 hours. Open interest rose just 1.64% to $2.62 billion, so most of that surge is trading activity, not new positions building up. Shorts took the bigger liquidation hit over the full day, $7.76 million against $5.56 million for longs, the rally keeps punishing bets against it.

But account data tells a different story. Binance’s long/short ratio sits at 0.46 and OKX’s at 0.32, meaning more traders are actually positioned short than long, unusual for a coin this deep into a rally. That tension flipped hard in the last hour, longs lost $118,590 in liquidations against just $19,890 for shorts, as today’s pullback caught late buyers off guard.

Metric Value What it shows
Derivatives volume (24h) $8.49B, up 20.17% Trading activity surging
Open interest $2.62B, up 1.64% Position size growing slower than volume
24h short liquidations $7.76M of $13.31M total Shorts took the bigger hit despite being more numerous
Binance long/short ratio 0.46 More accounts betting against the rally than for it

Zcash Price Prediction: Bullish and Bearish Scenarios for September 11

Bullish Case, Target: $1,500

$ZEC holds above $1,205 and resumes its climb past today’s high of $1,256.57. Continued ETF inflows and options demand support a push toward $1,300 and beyond, especially if short positioning keeps getting squeezed.

Bearish Case, Risk Level: $963.29 (20-Day EMA)

$ZEC loses $1,205 and extends today’s pullback. A close below the 20-day EMA at $963.29 would be the first real technical sign this parabolic move is unwinding, exposing $900 as the next level down.

FAQs

What is the Zcash price prediction for September 11, 2026?

$ZEC could extend toward $1,300 and then $1,500 if it holds above $1,205. Losing the 20-day EMA at $963.29 would be the first sign this rally is cooling off.

How much has the Zcash ETF grown since launch?

ZCSH reached more than $500 million in AUM as of September 8, roughly two weeks after its August 25 debut, including about $100 million from a DCG-affiliated in-kind contribution and more than $70 million in independent inflows.

Why is a mining executive skeptical of Zcash’s rally?

F2Pool co-founder Chun Wang called the move a “narrative bid,” arguing $ZEC’s valuation has outpaced its actual network activity compared to revenue-generating chains like Solana and Hyperliquid.

Are short sellers profiting from betting against $ZEC?

Not recently. Shorts absorbed $7.76 million of the $13.31 million liquidated over the past 24 hours, even though more trading accounts are positioned short than long on both Binance and OKX.
