The cryptocurrency market has been experiencing quite volatile days lately. Bitcoin, in particular, has risen by approximately 23% in the last week, climbing above its 200-day moving average for the first time since November 2025 and recording its biggest weekly gain since March 2023.
This strong rise has shifted investors’ focus back to the possibility of a bull market, and a new assessment shared by the on-chain analytics platform CryptoQuant has further supported optimism in the markets.
At this point, CryptoQuant analyst Darkfost, using the pseudonym Darkfost, noted that Bitcoin’s bull-bear market indicator has entered an early bull phase.
The analyst stated that the indicator suggests the bull market is still in its early stages. However, the analyst cautioned that the indicator alone should not be considered a definitive buy or sell signal.
The analyst added that this indicator shows a significant improvement in market conditions and should be closely monitored over the next few weeks.
First Major Change in Favor of Bull!
Another CryptoQuant analyst also noted positive signs for Bitcoin. This analyst stated that Bitcoin has emerged from a period of selling pressure, entered a transitional phase, and regained the average purchase price range of $67,000 to $69,000 for short-term investors.
At this point, the analyst considered this movement in BTC as the first significant change in market trend since May.
The analyst also added that long-term investors did not engage in large-scale selling and that the decline in LTH’s price remained limited compared to past cycles.
The analyst concluded by stating that the next critical level is the $67,000-$69,000 region. According to the analyst, if Bitcoin retests this region, holds this support, and then reaches the annual investor price of approximately $104,800, then a structural trend reversal could be confirmed.
Is Altcoin Season Beginning Now?
CryptoQuant analyst Darkfost, in his assessment of the altcoin market, stated that there are signals of an early altcoin season. At this point, the analyst suggested that the altcoin market may have entered an early “altcoin season.”
According to the analyst, approximately $215 billion flowed into the altcoin market between August 19-22, and Total2, which shows the total cryptocurrency market capitalization excluding Bitcoin, reached $1 trillion.
The analyst also notes that technical indicators point to a market-wide shift. While 80-85% of altcoins traded below the 200-day moving average in recent days, following the recent surge, 56% of altcoins listed on Binance have risen back above the 200-day average.
Citing historical data, the analyst assessed that, considering past examples, the current surge is one of the signals indicating the early stages of the altcoin season.
The analyst noted that the market is approaching overbought territory, adding that new opportunities could emerge if the strong momentum in altcoins is maintained. However, the analyst also warned against the risk of a correction due to the sharp rise in a short period.
