In a recent tweet, Nietzbux, a prominent figure within the XRP community, highlighted the shifting dynamics in the crypto landscape as regards the hostility towards XRP.

Nietzbux reminisced when Bitcoin maximalists and Chainlink (LINK) enthusiasts often derided XRP as a “banker’s shitcoin.” This sentiment was because XRP was seen as a digital asset designed to benefit financial institutions alongside the general public.

The Table Has Turned

However, Nietzbux noted a significant change in attitudes in recent times, with Bitcoin enthusiasts pursuing BlackRock.

In particular, he pointed out that “BTC [maxis now] love BlackRock,” one of the largest asset management firms seeking approval for a spot Bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF).

Additionally, Nietzbux claimed LINK proponents are now “bootlicking every banker in sight” at Sibos, a financial services conference. He believes the Chainlink Army actively aspires to align itself with the interests of the banking institutions.

Years ago, I remember both BTC maxis and Link Marines calling XRP a "banker's shitcoin".

Today, BTC loves Blackrock, and Link is bootlicking every banker in sight at Sibos while bragging about following "what banks want" instead of what innovation demands.

I have no issue…

Despite the shift from the XRP haters, Nietzbux stated he harbored no ill feelings toward Bitcoin or Chainlink. He acknowledged both as valuable cryptocurrencies.

Meanwhile, he asserted that the rivalry from the communities was never about Ripple’s endeavors or XRP’s potential. According to Nietzbux, it was just a deep-seated apprehension that Ripple and XRP might achieve significant success.

“It was never what Ripple was doing nor what XRP could become that they had a problem with. It was always fear that Ripple and XRP would succeed,” Nietzbux remarked.

Nietzbux remained resolute in his belief that XRP would ultimately succeed. He believes XRP will prevail even in the face of the changing narratives of the BTC and LINK enthusiasts who had previously criticized XRP’s banking endeavor only to pursue similar goals.

XRP, LINK, BTC Community Rivalries

Notably, the LINK community intensified its derisive comments at the XRP Army after Chainlink secured a partnership with the global payment processor SWIFT.

They often argued Chainlink succeeded at securing the SWIFT partnership Ripple supposedly failed at attaining. On the other hand, Bitcoin maxis see all other cryptocurrencies as sh*tcoins or centralized entities.
