Robinhood Wallet finally launched adding support for Shiba Inu and other supporting crypto.
Robinhood has finally launched its much-anticipated cryptocurrency wallet, dubbed Robinhood Wallet, a smartphone app that allows users to transfer and swap crypto assets, including Shiba Inu (SHIB).
In an announcement yesterday on Twitter, Robinhood’s Crypto GM Johann Kerbrat said the company had commenced rolling out the wallet to 1 million waitlisted users.
“We’ve started to roll out Robinhood Wallet to our 1M+ waitlist. We’ve made some awesome changes since the beta program based on customer feedback and are excited to get them into your hands,” Kerbrat noted.

Interestingly, the wallet received a major improvement following its beta program. Robinhood Wallet, which initially uses Polygon, has added support for the Ethereum network. Through Ethereum support, Robinhood Wallet users can now swap and transfer selected ERC-20 tokens like Shiba Inu.
Aside from Shiba Inu, users can also gain access to over 50 ERC-20 tokens, including Solana (SOL), Compound (COMP), Uniswap (UNI), Axie Infinity (AXS), Ankr (ANKR), Ethereum Name Service (ENS), Curve (CRV), etc.
Kerbrat also noted that Robinhood Wallet now supports Ethereum and Polygon-based non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
Robinhood to Provide Android Support This Year
Robinhood Crypto GM disclosed that the wallet is currently available on IOS mobile devices. He added that iOS mobile users who joined the waitlist would get the Robinhood Wallet through an access code.
“We will be sharing access codes with customers that will give them entry to the Robinhood Wallet iOS app, so keep your eyes peeled for an email,” he said.
Kerbrat added that users would receive $5 in their Robinhood Wallets after downloading the app. Notably, Robinhood will roll out the wallet to iOS users who joined the waitlist in the coming weeks and months. Robinhood said it would provide Android support later this year.
Meanwhile, it is not surprising to see Shiba Inu among the list of supported cryptocurrencies on Robinhood Wallet. Since Robinhood launched Shiba Inu trading in April 2022, the doggy-themed cryptocurrency has recorded significant feats on the trading platform.
As reported by TheCryptoBasic, Shiba Inu entered Robinhood’s top 5 highest-gaining asset list for two consecutive weeks.
