The latest proof of this is today’s announcement of a gigantic order for a mining facility worth $ 138.5 million. Riot Blockchain stated it has placed an order for 42,000 S19j Antminers from Bitmain, which will be fully delivered by October 2022. The first machines should be delivered in November 2021 with a regular delivery of 3,500 Antminers every next month.

Preliminary estimates say that only this arsenal has a capacity of 3.7 EH / s, which means that when added to the current arsenal, the total hash rate should reach up to 7.7 EH / s. Once fully deployed, Riot Blockchain should have a total of 81,150 Antminers, of which 95% will be the latest generation with the S19 series.
The company claims that this performance represents a 93% increase over previous hash rate estimates, which were at the level of 4.0 EH / s.
