Ethereum Foundation's $ETH Staking Record
The Ethereum Foundation accelerated its $ETH staking operations from its treasury, making its biggest move in history by depositing 22,517 $ETH worth $46.2 million into the Beacon Deposit Contract. According to $ETH detailed analysis data, the foundation's multisignature wallet made 11 deposits on Monday, each approximately 2,047 $ETH. The staking program, which started with 2,016 $ETH in February, plans to go up to 70,000 $ETH; rewards are reinvested into research, ecosystem development, and grants. Additionally, 31 $ETH was staked this month, bringing the total staked amount to 24,564 $ETH.

This development came after the foundation's OTC sale of 5,000 $ETH ($10.2 million) to BitMine Immersion Technologies; the proceeds were allocated to protocol research, ecosystem growth, and community grants. This transaction, the second institutional OTC sale, follows the 10,000 $ETH sale to SharpLink Gaming in July 2025. The foundation's total onchain assets are $361 million, of which $360.8 million is in $ETH. Ethereum price fell below $2,000 over the weekend but recovered.
