The 12th release from China’s largest research and consulting firm declared EOS, Tron (TRX) and Ethereum (ETH) as the best public blockchain network for the third time in a row.

After a proper evaluation of a number of blockchain projects, China Center for Information Industry Development (CCID) Research Institute, in what could be tagged a successive release, rated EOS, Tron (TRX) and Ethereum (ETH) top projects in its 12th Global Public Chain Technology Evaluation Index.

According to CoinNess, the latest release ranked EOS, TRON, and Ethereum as the 1st, 2nd and 3rd best blockchain with 148.5, 144.1, and 136.6 scores respectively. The three most valued blockchain networks were said to have stayed above other projects with wide margin scores.

STEEM, Ontology, LSK, BitShares, NEO, GXChain, Nebulas, Stellar, Bitcoin, Waves and Ark were also found in the report, sitting on 4th to 14th positions respectively.

As usual, Bitcoin again failed to make it to the top spot. The cryptocurrency trailblazer was rated the 12th best public blockchain with 101.7 points.

CCID, in its last two reports, rated EOS, Tron and Ethereum as the best public blockchain network due to a number of factors which includes creativity, basic technology and applicability, amongst others.

Compared to the previous assessment result (11th Global Public Chain Technology Evaluation Index) a number of projects are still maintaining their positions, however, LSK got promoted to the top 10 position as Nuls got displaced.

The continuous assessment of public blockchain technology is a joint work of CCID, China Electronics and Information Industry Development Research Institute and China Software Testing Center.

According to Wikipedia, CCID is the largest consulting and research firm in China. It is also the first Chinese based consulting company to feature on Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

CCID is an initiative of China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
