Near Protocol’s [$NEAR] Intents just crossed a pretty big milestone. But can it help the native token soar?
Is $NEAR expanding faster than expected?
$NEAR Intents is the infrastructure that lets assets move across chains behind the scenes. This has now crossed $27 billion in volume across 34 different chains!
Wallets like Ledger, browsers like Brave, and platforms like Infinex and LI.FI are all plugging into it. Interestingly, Zcash [ZEC] can now move into Solana [SOL] through $NEAR Intents. Confidential Hyperliquid [HYPE] perps are extending that same rail toward private trading.
The point, is that Near Intents is becoming the plumbing that other platforms can rely on.
$NEAR crypto price finally catches up!
$NEAR jumped over 11% recently, moving from around $2.32 to $2.59.
And this isn’t an overnight rise.
RSI was up at 74; overbought territory for the first time since a similar run back in May-June. Back then, the rally died along with the RSI. This time, however, the MACD line was above the signal line, and the histogram bars were growing. Buyers aren’t done yet.
A look at the derivatives side, and it can be seen that things are much more interesting.
Aggregated Open Interest [OI] on $NEAR was at $458 million at press time. OI has been going up since the beginning of the month, after going sideways for a time. Funding Rates have stayed mostly positive throughout, around 0.0117 lately. It seems traders have largely been comfortable staying long.
The timing is notable: $NEAR’s rally has arrived as Intents reaches a major adoption milestone. However, the data does not establish that Intents growth caused the token’s 11% move. For now, rising OI and positive funding show that traders are increasingly participating in the rally, while the $27 billion milestone strengthens $NEAR’s underlying ecosystem narrative.
Final Summary
- $NEAR Intents has crossed $27 billion in volume across 34 chains.
- $NEAR crypto price jumped over 11% recently.
