Third Centra founder accused of creating a fraud
Raymond Trapani has become a part of the Securities and Exchange Commission investigation in the United States. The amendment made to the case says that the entrepreneur had played an important role in the team of Centra — the fraudulent ICO that has robbed investors of $32 million.
The Commission notes that the leadership of the project — Sohrab “Sam” Sharma, Robert Farkas and newly-added Raymond Trapani — had made leviathan efforts to attract more investors while nobody suspected the true nature of the enterprise.
The publication on the SEC’s website indicates that while the defendants were careful enough not to cause suspicions for a long time, their private text messages were much more frivolous and now those which indicate their criminal activity the most serve as a solid evidence. For example, when Raymond Trapani wanted to use false identity to acquire more brand CTR tokens, he directly requested this from Sohrab Sharma, to which the latter reacted nervously and demanded to delete the message.
Meanwhile, Centra tokens are available to be withdrawn from the popular KuCoin exchange not until 3 May 2018. After that, the delisting of the token will happen. Other big exchanges have decided to delete this asset (costs $0.01 at the press time) from their lists of available trading options shortly after the initial messages on Centra’s actual intentions.
