Mark Zuckerberg plans to introduce cryptocurrency to Facebook
Mark Zuckerberg wrote on his page about his positive attitude towards digital money. Facebook founder said that cryptocurrency is a trend, that can take power from centralized systems and return it to people.
"But they come with the risk of being harder to control. I'm interested to go deeper and study the positive and negative aspects of these technologies, and how best to use them in our services," Zuckerberg said.
Last December Winklevoss brothers were reported to become the first cryptocurrency billionaires. In 2004 they sued Zuckerberg claiming that he stole their idea to create Facebook.
At the end of last year there were rumors that Pavel Durov, the creator of social networks Vk.com and Telegram, can launch a cryptocurrency based on his messenger.
Earlier this week Chris Larsen, the founder of Ripple briefly overtook Mark Zuckerberg to become the fifth richest person in the world as XRP became the cryptocurrency with the second-highest market cap.
