Zhongchao Blockchain Research Institute launches new paperwork platform

27 March 2018 21:00, UTC

A new paperwork platform has been launched by the Zhongchao Blockchain Research Institute. The platform was first announced by its developers at one of the recent digital conferences in China.

What makes the platform even more interesting is that it’s supported by the People’s Bank of China, the state economic regulator. This organization is known for its conservatism towards cryptocurrencies, although the newly-appointed leader has been seen praising Bitcoin in the past. Anyway, this particular project is absolutely not connected with cryptocurrency, illustrating the “blockchain without Bitcoin” concept which is endorsed even by strictest traditionalists in finance.

The platform, dubbed BROP (Blockchain Registry Open Platform), involves the digital monitoring and control of copyrights, identification papers and other documents. Supposedly, with this new structure state verification processes will become faster. It’s characterized as BaaS (blockchain-as-a-service) by its creators, meaning that various companies can ask them to integrate this product in case they need it.
