Visa To Launch Multiple 'Bitcoin Cashback' Cards With Partners In Brazil And Argentina

According to Expansión, Visa has announced an alliance with various fintech companies and IT startups in Brazil and Argentina that will allow users to transact with Visa cards and receive cryptocurrency cashback every time they spend money.

Late last year, Visa teamed up with Argentina-based crypto exchange Lemon Cash to launch the Visa Card, which offers customers a 2% cashback in Bitcoin when they use the card to make payments. Visa will also launch a prepaid Visa Lemon Cash card in Argentina. The partnership agreements include a card issuance agreement with Satoshi Tango, another Argentine-based crypto trading platform. In Brazil, similar offerings will be rolled out jointly with the crypto banking arm of Alterbank and neobank Zro Bank. The report says that Visa plans to develop card issuance projects in other countries in Latin America, including Mexico, Colombia and Peru.
